The concert organizer Fredi Bosshard has received the “Stadttaler” for his services to Zurich jazz. The city’s Medal of Honor recognizes its decades of commitment and, in particular, the organization of the Tatklos Festival in the Rote Fabrik.
Bosshard had contributed significantly to the fact that the Zurich jazz scene today enjoys a reputation far beyond the country’s borders, the city announced on Monday.
He always placed the art at the center of his work and managed to keep the focus of the cultural city of Zurich on this uncomfortable and constantly developing music for a few days, year after year.
The longtime president of the Verein Fabrikjazz Zürich has organized countless high-class jazz concerts in the city, among others as part of the Taktlos Festival, which he conducted for the 34th time this year. The award was handed over on Sunday at a concert of the Schlippenbach trio in the Rote Fabrik.
