Vladimir Avetissyan and the D’Black Blues Orchestra will perform in Armenia during the first Aurora Forum: Video

On October 17, 2019, the international blues group the D’Black Blues Orchestra will hold a large open-air concert in the city of Gyumri, on Freedom Square.

The performance is being held as part of the Aurora Forum, which will bring together the world’s leading experts in the field of social, scientific, technological, educational and humanitarian innovations – the region’s first initiative of this kind. The leader of the D’Black Blues Orchestra is Vladimir Avetissyan, a Russian musician, businessman, philanthropist, and founder of the EVITA charitable foundation. The band includes musicians from Russia, the USA, Spain and France. 

At the concert in Gyumri, the D’Black Blues Orchestra will play a set titled “Anthology of Blues. Part II”, which contains powerful works of the world’s blues heritage. The opening acts of the day are local bands The Bambir and TmbaTa. 

The D’Black Blues Orchestra have toured in the UK, China, Switzerland, Spain, Ukraine, Moldova, Armenia, Georgia, the Baltic States and Scandinavia. During the tour of the band in London, the legendary Eric Clapton donated his autographed guitar to Vladimir Avetissyan as a token of his respect and gratitude for the support of the Crossroads charity center. 

The group’s solo concert in Nakhimov Square in Sevastopol, Crimea, was attended by more than 20 thousand people. The premiere of the concert program “The Anthology of Blues” by D’Black Blues Orchestra in June 2017 was attended by 60 thousand spectators at Republic Square in Yerevan, Armenia.
