“Chiavari in Jazz 2023” – This just concluded edition was of pure jazz origin, the “Blue Notes” spread in the fascinating location of Piazza Nostra Signora dell’Orto with energy, sweetness, wisdom and unscrupulousness, and Chiavari once again it shows itself as a city that loves jazz music, understands it, appreciates it and celebrates it.
Five concerts with an increasingly large and increasingly competent audience, a varied multitude of people who love good music and the strong emotions that jazz can instill.
It was an edition full of vibrations and for this, but not only, I want to thank all those who contributed in some way to the success of the event. To the “operational” team of the municipality of Chiavari who worked behind the scenes, for each concert, to create the “stall”, to the precious support of the service managers, who ensure that when the lights are turned on on stage everything is perfect, to the municipal administration which with conviction supports and takes charge of the entire “Chiavari in Jazz” project, and obviously a special thanks to the public who supports us by giving us wonderful positive energy.
A sincere and heartfelt thanks to Gianluca Ratto Councilor for City Promotion, to the Mayor Federico Messuti and to the managers of the Tourism office of the municipality of Chiavari.
I thank Pino Zappullo and Giacinto Severino for their precious and constant presence and availability, Stefano Dellepiane for always managing to give the right answers to my requests, and to his collaborators, with a special mention to Andrea Garibaldi and the young Andrea Dellepiane.
Thanks to the photographers present who “narrated” the concerts with their shots: Enrico Rolandi, Ago Sauro and Marco Levaggi.
A special thanks, for his unfailing presence, to Roberto Cifarelli photography, one of the major Italian “jazz” photographers recognized internationally.
Thanks to the many “media” who highlighted the value of the event and the merits of the city of Chiavari: Rai TV, Radio Rai, Il Secolo XIX, La Repubblica, Il Levante, Jazzit, Radio Babboleo, Radio Aldebaran, Tracce di Jazz and the many Web Magazine.
A special thanks to all the fantastic musicians who gladly accepted my invitation, also happy to be able to admire an extraordinary town like Chiavari: Paolo Fresu, Bebo Ferra, Paolino Dalla Porta, Mauro Ottolini, Francesco Bearzatti, Oscar Marchioni, Paolo Mappa, Helga Plankensteiner, Michael Loesch, Achille Succi, Glauco Benedetti, Marco Soldà, Hakan Başar, Michelangelo Scandroglio, Yoran Vroom, Rosario Giuliani, Luciano Biondini, Enzo Pietropaoli, Michele Rabbia.
