This is the first recording of a 5 years collaboration which started in a jam session in one of the Bernese old town caves. After touring to Russia and all around Switzerland, Vincent Millioud and Theo Känzig put their own compositions together on «L’Aar du Swing».
Inspired from Django Reinhardt’s and Stéphane Grappelli’s repertoire, this album is an hommage to Jazz Manouche. The traditional sound of Jazz Manouche is interpreted with influences from Middle East, Russian and American mainstream Jazz.
